Little Wilburn is on the way!!

After three and half wonderful years together, Aaron and I decided we needed another big adventure. For those of you who know us, we started our lives out together in adventuresome fashion. First building a second story on his house in Memphis, TN while we dated and then getting married, moving across the country to Colorado, and starting new jobs all within a two month span. Since then we have spent our time adventuring in the Colorado outdoors (not to mention some great trips to the Caribbean). It was time in our lives to embark on life's next great adventure - CHILDREN! Yes, we are pregnant. In early October, I was traveling to visit my sister and her children in Katy, TX and was a few days late on my monthly visit from Mother Nature. Aaron wanted me to take a pregnancy test, so later that night I sent him this picture on his phone.

We tried not to tell anyone, but couldn't help ourselves and told our families fairly quickly. We are now 12 weeks pregnant and things are going well. We just heard the heartbeat today andI must say it was quite special to both of us. I noticed on the charts in our midwife's office that our baby is exactly the size of my hand. I have caught myself looking at my hand picturing a little baby that small - it definitely warms the heart. Our due date is June 8, 2010. We are still uncertain as to whether we are going to find out what the sex of the baby is, but if we do that will be some time in mid-January. For now, we are just trying to cook food that is both appetizing to me and nutritious for the baby! We are still skiing and exercising, but I'm taking it a lot easier than I used to...and just when I'd gotten good enough to actually keep up with Aaron! ;) We are heading to Nashville for Thanksgiving and are super excited to share our good news with all our friends and family in Columbia, TN. Until next time.....keep on playing!
