The beginning of sharing our lives

Aaron and I have decided that being away from everyone has some pitfalls. The major one being that our friends don't get to share in all our great adventures and our lives out here. Therefore, we are taking to blogging. We want to be able to share our adventures with all of our friends. We want our friends to feel like they are a part of our lives and to know what we are up to. So here goes.....


For Christmas this year, Aaron and I didn't travel to either parents' house as we have previously done. We decided to take advantage of the Colorado snow and hit the slopes. On Christmas Eve we drove to Steamboat where we celebrated Christmas. The snow was great and we enjoyed a nice Christmas dinner at Riggio's.

On Friday, we drove down to meet some friends in Grand Lake, CO. We spent Saturday and Sunday skiing Winter Park. Saturday was terribly cold - negative 18, but Sunday turned out to be much nicer and we really enjoyed ourselves. Aaron has introduced me to the sideways world of Snowboarding and I have challenged him to trying out some sticks. For Christmas this year, he gave me a snowboard and I gave him telemark skis. We are really enjoying learning something new together.

While we certainly missed seeing friends and family for Christmas, we definitely enjoyed our skiing vacation.
